Night Shift Entertainment is best known for our bands’ spectacular, private performances at parties, corporate events, and especially weddings. But our specialization isn’t limited to wedding receptions and dance parties: each year, NSE also provides thousands of clients with ceremony music, making sure that every walk down the aisle is as unique as it is memorable.
When it comes to wedding ceremonies, the aesthetics are just as important as the acoustics. The emotional and spiritual significance of the ceremony is best reflected in an environment where there is a cohesion of sight and sound, form and function. Therefore, when our client is getting married at the Four Seasons in Boston, or at Rosecliff in Newport, we encourage them to use a string trio or quartet for their ceremony because classical music is very much in keeping with the elegant formality of these venues. If another client is getting married at the Liberty Hotel, we recommend that they use pieces from the band for their ceremony — such as the keyboard and guitar, or the keyboard, guitar, and trumpet — because these instruments have a more contemporary sound that complements the Liberty’s industrial-chic vibe.

Lastly, no matter where you’re getting married — historic mansion, museum or gallery, barn or vineyard, hotel or restaurant — remember that you are going to need a ceremony sound system. Without it, your guests will still hear the music — pieces from the band are played through the musicians’ amps, and amplification is rarely necessary for string ensembles — but what they won’t hear is the officiant, when he asks for the ring, or you, when you finally (finally!) get to say, “I do.” Ultimately, this sound system will help you maintain both the acoustic and aesthetic harmony of your wedding.
